Purpose
The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is used to determine entry-level nursing competency, and is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
Structure
The NCLEX is a computer-adaptive, multiple-choice test organized into four "client needs" sections:
Physiological Integrity
Health Promotion and Maintenance
Safe, Effective Care Environment
Psychosocial Integrity
